Stage Aurora presents The Color Purple

(Jacksonville, FL) – March 3, 2015 – Stage Aurora Theatrical Company will present the Tony Award winning hit Broadway smash hit musical THE COLOR PURPLE April 10-12 & 17-19
at the Stage Aurora Performance Hall located at 5188 Norwood Avenue inside Gateway Town Center.
Darryl Reuben Hall will direct with additional Choreography by Wilfred ‘Dubbie’ Reddick. Kai Smith and Drickus Horne serve as Vocal Director. Costume Design by Valerie Bellamy –Bailey and Sandra Levy-Donawa. Anthony Felton is Musical Director.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Alice Walker and Nominated for 11 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, THE COLOR PURPLE opened on December 1, 2005 at the Broadway Theatre where it ran for over two record-breaking years. It is the inspiring story of a woman named Celie who finds the strength to triumph over adversity, and discover her unique voice in the world. Elana Elmore and Felecia Ewing play Celie, alternately.
