Stage Aurora Theatrical Company, Theatre that Enlightens, is thrilled to present “The
Little Mermaid Jr.” musical. From classic literature to the Academy Award-winning film and Broadway musical, Ariel’s undersea journey is a beautiful love story for the ages. Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's “The Little Mermaid Jr.”, adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture. This local production will feature the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming dialogue and lyrics. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
The Community First Cares Foundation is the title sponsor of The Little Mermaid Jr. Both organizations strive to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion along with the arts, education and quality of life on the First Coast.

The cast comprises singers and dancers ages 6 through 18. Attendees will enjoy favorite selections such as “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Kiss the Girl” and much more! You will be sure to flip your fins and sing along!

The musical will be directed by Jann Clark (director of Stage Aurora's Shrek Jr. and more!) and Darryl Reuben Hall, Executive Director. Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, music by Alan Menken, based on the book by Doug Wright. Stage Aurora’s general company manager is Dolores Hall, Ed.D.
