Stage Aurora Theatrical Company and The Jacksonville Public Library present The NEA Big Read/To Kill A Mockingbird the much loved, critically acclaimed American classic written by Harper Lee and dramatized by Christopher Sergel. To Kill a Mockingbird runs from February 24 -March 4, 2012 (Weekends only). The play is directed by Darryl Reuben Hall, Stage Aurora’s producing artistic director.

Set in 1935 Macomb, Alabama, the story follows the court trial of a wrongly accused black man amid the prejudice of a small Southern town. Atticus Finch is the compassionate and honorable attorney who defends the man. The story is told through the eyes of Finch’s young daughter, Jean Louise “Scout” Finch played. Filled with rich stories and compelling characters, the play brings to life powerful examples of family, loyalty, fairness and quiet courage.

Ticket prices for the play are $15.00 in advance for Adults (17 - 64) and $20 at the door. Ticket prices for Seniors (65 +) and Students (5 - 17) $10.00 in advance and at the door.
