Stage Aurora presents
THE COLORED MUSEUM
May 9-11

A Mother’s Day Treat!
George C. Wolfe’s satirical commentary on the African-American experience, “The Colored Museum,” directed by Dee Quaranta and Darryl Reuben Hall, will be presented May 9-11 at the Stage Aurora Performance Hall 5188 Norwood Avenue (inside Gateway Mall) in Jacksonville, FL. The performance is just in time for Mother’s Day.

“Wolfe expresses the African-American journey through museum exhibits, which come to life and tell their individual stories of joy, acceptance, being rejected, and understanding their place in society in a much different approach than the seriousness of ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ or ‘For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf,’” says Hall.

The Colored Museum has electrified, discomforted and delighted audiences of all colours, redefining our ideas of what it means to be black in contemporary America.
